Remixing is a key part of the equation & it actually creates some very cool opportunities for artists, just as modifying code does for developers. Might post something about this topic in particular. We're actually already getting remixes in from different DJs. Here's a cool remix of the title track "AFropolitan" that came in from DJ Kats in Uganda:

http://soundcloud.com/dj-kats-remix/afropolitan-dj-kats-club-edit

admin comments on Campaign Launch Day!

Thanks bro! The Nigerian leadership is playing w/ fire in this instance, but I can't imagine they intended nor anticipated this level of discord. I want to get some understanding of the rationale behind not only the move, but the way it was implemented (eg. immediate removal of subsidy, rather than phased), and if there was any inkling of the kind of societal response when it was announced weeks ago that something like this would be done.

As you say, these are not the kind of flames Africa is in need of right now. We all have a stake in the future of Nigeria. Let's hope fuel issue can be resolved swiftly so the nation can get down to addressing the underlying factors that led to this particular conflagration.

D.N.A

@tessism comments on Occupy Nigeria

As someone in Nigeria for a little while, watching this happen, I can only pray for a meaningful change before this place literally explodes. This way of life--this rife disregard of humanity--is not sustainable. Let the powers that be work on rectifying this one injustice of inefficiency lest this whole place explodes. Once Nigeria catches fire...the whole continent will. I hope for a figurative fire of enlightenment rather than a real one fueled by anger and despair. A change must come. It surely will.

admin comments on AFropolitan on VOA

Thanks James!
