OkayAfrica

So you know what the say about when it rains. On the heels of a great piece in Harvard Magazine last week, Soulfège just had another cool review drop on OkayAfrica, the latest webzine from legendary Hip Hop crew The Roots.  It's crazy ironic in a way, because just last week I went to a screening of a new short by two of my college boys Bashir Salahuddin & Diallo Riddle.  Bashir & Diallo are writers for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, The Roots are the house band for the show, and as it turns out, featured in the screening of their film All Access is the lead MC for The Roots, Tariq Trotter aka Black Thought.  My world grows smaller by the day...

Big ups to Mike Rosen & OkayAfrica for shouting out the band!

Wow wow wow wow wow. Congrats on holding your vision and bringing your music to the world. I randomly saw your face on an Oprah Magazine page about chocolate. I stared at it and was like "oh my goodness. if it isn't...!" Anyhow, loving that the world is loving you! I will also have an article in the Harvard Mag -- but in the Winter edition. Look for me :) -- Your Cabot House Friend
