Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 8:39PM So on July 31st I had a convo w/ Sheriff Clarence Dupnik of Pima County Arizona about the ongoing immigration saga down there. He gave us some very interesting insights into the situation on the ground, including a refutation of the claims of rising crime & violence in the state. According to him, in recent years AZ has not only seen a drop in violent crime, but also in illegal border crossings. Isn't it interesting Derrick how there invariably is a gap between the reality on the ground as opposed to the tainted and loaded rhetoric of a few?

Always bro. People will weave "reality" out of whole cloth in order to advance their own agenda. Funny how the truth is always more complex than people care to consider...
